About the Presenter

David Haigh is a world authority on matters related to brand valuation, globalization of brands, and soft power. Haigh is a passionate writer having contributed many articles appearing in both the marketing and financial press on branded businesses and brand valuation. He is the author of numerous published articles in: The Financial Times, The Times, Accountancy Age, and Investors Chronicles. He has also lectured on the topic of brand valuation at the Harvard, Chicago, and London Business Schools.
Haigh is also the CEO and Founder of Brand Finance plc, one of the largest international companies in its field. He has been involved in many projects over the years, with an extensive client list including, notably: Shell, Vodafone, BT, Orange, SABMiller and Barclays.
Haigh qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers in London, having graduated from Bristol University with an English degree, and obtained a Post￾graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Since 1991, he has worked in the area of branded business as well as brand and intangible asset valuation. In 1995, he was Global Director of Brand Valuation for Interbrand Ltd and left the following year to launch Brand Finance, a global leading branded business valuation and strategy consultancy.
Haigh has been called upon as an Expert Witness in various cases from trademark disputes, to transfer pricing, brand valuations, appropriate royalty rates, brand management, share valuation, damage assessment, sponsorship disputes, and remunerations for breach of license.
